Looks like a nice weekend in the works. Maybe chances of rain through out the week.

Walleye

Walleye have been tough to find, feel lucky if you catch one. Reports of a few shorts.

White Bass

Bone Cove area is good place to start, but also has been successful in many other areas in the lake. Most people are trolling, but slab and jig will begin soon. The shad are starting to school up.

Crappie

Not many being caught but a few good sized crappie were caught back in the P.H. cove.

Large Mouth Bass

Seeing a few large mouth being caught. A hidden secret here at Harlan Co. Lake.

Catfish

Catfish is being caught over by Methodist in the brush, drifting and using Shad Gizzards is your best trick. Many people had GOOD LUCK with catfish below the dam in the spillway area this last weekend. They were using shrimp and crawlers.

Wipers

Still nice sized wipers being reported through the week. Most of them were reported to be caught on while fishing for white bass. Also try the spillway below the dam. A few beeing caught there also.

Northern

We seen them in the past, but starting to slow down.

John Roads from Alma brought in a 7.08 lbs Walleye   Sally Wilson from Franklin brings in a Master Angle  Wiper. 25 1/2 inch, 8.3lb     Dusty Redding, from Larned, KS caught Master Angler Wiper 8 lbs 3 oz   A Master Angler White Bass, 17inches, 2.8 lbs. Most are mistaken for a Wiper, but must look at the tongue patch. Dave Dorn from Cortland, NE   Walt Hoyle and Robert Johnston (Beatrice & Cortland) had a good day of fishing for Wipers & White Bass at the mouth of Patterson Harbor cove on Tuesday 9/11/07   Wiper caught by Darin Krueger from Cortland  6.5lbs, 25 1/2 inches. Catfish caught by Ron McGuire from Grand Island.   Ben Boell from Republican City caught a 20 inch walleye on Sunday July 1st   Jade Johnson and Austin Envick caught a 4.1 lb wiper  that was 21.5 inches long on Saturday June 30th     Dan from Hastings with a nice Wiper   Kenny Adams of Hastings caught this 45.3 lb. catfish on 5/7/07   Great day of fishing on 4/23/07. Curt and Zag Pikschus of Lincoln shows off their Walleye.   Sandra Daehling from Lincoln with a Master Angler Catfish caught on 7/21/06. 10lbs 4oz, 30 1/2 inches.       Hank Emodson from Kenesaw with a 16 1/2 lb 34 inch Channel Cat caught on 7-12-06     13.8 lbs, 30 1/2 inches Blue Catfish. Way to go Mary Jo McGuire!       Wild Willie and Harold ONCE AGAIN come in with nice catfish!     Chris & Mark from Omaha with two nice wipers!     Wild Willie & Harold with a 22.5 lb Catfish Caught on 6-3-06     Zoe Sutherland 5-28-06 (25 inch Walleye)   Zack Keller 5-28-06 (6 lb 3 oz Wiper)        Trevor Watons 5-27-06 (7 lb 24 1/2 inch Wiper)   Roger Krueger shows us that the White Bass fishing along the rocks of the dam is very  successfull.
